Abbreviated International Trailer For Taken 2

Listen to me very carefully…

Proving that January can be a fertile ground for new release movies (if you have Liam Neeson in kick-ass mode), Taken became a big box office surprise when it collected a little more than $145 million in domestic grosses during its late January 2009 through early July 2009 theatrical run. Three years later a followup to the action hit has been made, and it sees the returns of star Liam Neeson, Famke Jannsen, and Maggie Grace. Rade Serbedzija (best remembered as Boris ‘The Blade’ in Guy Ritchie’s Snatch) plays the villain.

In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills (Neeson) and his wife (Jannsen) are taken hostage by the father (Serbedzija) of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.

A few weeks ago, the first international trailer for the Taken sequel hit the Internet. This second trailer is an abbreviated/alternate version.

Directed by Olivier Megaton (Columbiana) from Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen’s script, Taken 2 opens in the U.S. on October 5th.
