Various figures in the wrestling world responded to Austin Aries’ TNA World Heavyweight Championship victory over Bobby Roode at Sunday’s Destination X PPV. Included in this mix were current WWE Champion CM Punk, Nigel McGuinness, Colt Cabana and more:
CM Punk: “I didn’t see it, but congrats to Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, and Zema Ion. Looks like somebody finally gets it. Kudos.”
Nigel McGuinness: “Proud tear in my eye. Wonder at how great life can be sometimes. Another of my ROH peers. Proved it wasn’t hype.”
Colt Cabana: “Congrats to Austin Aries. #Champ”
