Variety interviewed Stephanie McMahon ahead of tonight’s WWE Raw 1000 show. McMahon addressed WWE’s ‘softer’ TV ratings for Monday Night Raw as well as their decision to ramp up social media efforts to keep the WWE audience engaged in various ways on and off television. Stephanie also spoke about WWE’s Raw-Active initiative which will let the WWE Universe choose how Raw is shaped, short of determining match results, of course:
Stephanie McMahon on social media and Raw-Active: “We’re going to use social media in a more enhanced fashion (beyond just promoting the product) … Our fans will affect some type of content in the show every week.”
Stephanie McMahon on softer TV ratings for Raw: “Every property is struggling with that. As long as you are everywhere, you keep and grow your audience as well.”
