HBO Announces Entourage: The Complete Series For DVD And Blu-ray

Disc Announcements, News

HBO Home Entertainment has sent early word that it will be releasing its hit show Entourage a complete series set this November on both DVD and Blu-ray. The collection marks the first time that the first five seasons of the Emmy Award-winning program will be available on the high-def format. Up until the release of the sixth season, all seasons of Entourage have been available on DVD only. For fans of the show this is very good news, but the 18-disc set comes at a hefty price. Entourage: The Complete Series Blu-ray set has a MSRP of $299.99 (pre-order and save), while the DVD set comes in fifty dollars cheaper (pre-order and save). Both sets will boxed in a stylishly cool, black casing identifiable by the color font used for the Entourage logo – red for DVD, blue for Blu-ray. The set features all 8 seasons along with more than 6 hours of bonus content, including some set-exclusive interviews.

For those who don’t feel the need to upgrade to the big box, eventually I suspect the first five seasons will see individual releases to pick up on Blu-ray. But for die-hard fans, if September doesn’t kill your wallet as far as new releases go, you may want to have some money squared away for its home video bow on November 6, 2012.

Entourage takes a none-too-serious look at the day-to-day life of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), a hot young Hollywood actor, and the inner circle of friends he’s brought from his hometown in Queens, NY: manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), half-brother/actor Drama (Kevin Dillon) and enterprising pal Turtle (Jerry Ferrara).

And now the intro (since it will most likely be bypassed after the initial viewing on DVD or Blu-ray):

Travis Leamons is one of the Inside Pulse Originals and currently holds the position of Managing Editor at Inside Pulse Movies. He's told that the position is his until he's dead or if "The Boss" can find somebody better. I expect the best and I give the best. Here's the beer. Here's the entertainment. Now have fun. That's an order!
