WWE SmackDown Spoilers for Friday 8/17/12 – this is the WWE SummerSlam PPV go home show featuring the final build for WWE’s flagship event of the summer, including the fallout from last week’s episode of the blue show when Alberto Del Rio and his “security” team attacked Sheamus:

Booker T comes out to confront Alberto Del Rio. Booker chastises Alberto for last week’s attack on Sheamus, and then Chris Jericho comes out. Jericho says he wants to replace Del Rio at SummerSlam, and Booker books Jericho vs. Del Rio for tonight’s main event. Booker T also said Sheamus will not defend his title at SummerSlam.

1. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara def. The Miz and Cody Rhodes.

Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan will fight later tonight.

2. Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks def. two local jobbers. They do a “Magic Mike” like celebration.

William Regal tells Eve how powerful he once was as GM. Some random workers ask Regal to take out the trash. Sigh.

3. Eve def. Kaitlyn to become Booker T’s assistant.

4. Randy Orton def. Daniel Bryan.

Daniel Bryan lost after getting RKO’d thanks to a distraction by Kane. After the match, Bryan screams, “NO! NO! NO!” Triple H then Pedigrees him for the live crowd only.

5. Antonio Cesaro def. Zack Ryder

6. Chris Jericho vs. Alberto Del Rio. Before the match starts, Dolph Ziggler attacks Jericho. Del Rio wins the match after Ziggler stays at ring-side and continues to interfere / trash-talk Y2J.

After the match, Ziggler and Del Rio team up on Jericho until Sheamus interrupts. Sheamus demands Booker reinstate the title match at SummerSlam, and Booker finally relents and puts the match back on of Sheamus vs. Del Rio for the Big Gold Belt on Sunday.
