Walt Disney Pictures UK has dropped a new international trailer for Wreck-It Ralph. While residents in the UK and Europe will have to wait until February 2013 to see the animated comedy, it will open in theaters in the U.S. on November 2nd. Disney’s latest, non-franchise, non-Pixar animated release features the vocal talent of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Ed O’Neill, Mindy Kaling, Adam Carolla, Horatio Sanz, Dennis Haysbert, and Edie McClurg among others.
John C. Reilly, who voices the titular Ralph is tired of playing the villain in the arcade game “Wreck-It Ralph” and being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), the “good guy” star of their game. And he’s been doing the same things for decades. He decides he wants to play the good guy for a change and goes on a game-hopping journey across arcade games from different generations to show that he can be a hero.
Along the way he meets Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) from the first-person shooter game Hero’s Duty. But it’s the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late?
