NYCC 2012: Cliff Chiang’s New God Orion Redesign Released For Brian Azzarello Wonder Woman DC Comics New 52 Title

News, Top Story

During Friday’s New York Comic Con, lovingly shortened to NYCC 2012 by the masses :) , DC Comics released a boatload of concept art from the Cliff Chiang drawn and Brian Azzarello written Wonder Woman series. That great art was released during the DC Entertainment: From Concept to Page Panel.

That Cliff Chiang pics included several bits of concept art for the New God Orion who will tangle with DC Comics New 52’s Wonder Woman in some fashion in that book’s second year.

The Orion art shows his new costume and his “astro-harness”. The costume seems similar to his pre-New 52 version, with small modern touches, including a now scaleable helmet. So, if in the New 52, Orion looks more like a cosmic biker, can a clash with Lobo be on the horizon?

Check out the art below. Clicky for the biggie. :)

Wonder Woman was a must read title in year one of the New 52. It certainly remains so in year two.
