Following Marvel Comics HUGE Amazing Spider-Man #698 developments, leading to some big movements on eBay, comes their teaser pages from Amazing Spider-Man #700. Since the teasers below continue from the big happenings in ASM #698 (spoilers here), go no further if you don’t want that issue to be spoiled.

Now, I am SO INTRIGUED by Amazing Spider-Man #698 so will be checking out #700 and Marvel Now’s Superior Spider-Man #1 by writer Dan Slott. However, the teaser pages from ASM #700 above reminded me a bit of 1993’s Adventures of Superman #500 from the Death and Life of Superman epic.
The ASM #700 pages and the AOS #500 pages have similar emotional resonance. Never thought I’d feel that way again. Kudos to Slott. I am intrigued about what’s next for Doctor Octopus and Peter Parker. A compelling journey ahead. And, I am also wondering why the Superior Spider-Man’s boot has gone all Ninja and why the gloves have talons in Marvel Now? One of Doc Ock’s enhancements to Spidey’s costume? Hmmm. Weird yet intriguing.
