Looks like Peter Parker-in-the-body-of-Doc-Ock is alive at the opening of the issue.
So, Peter is alive for now as the issue opens. And the issue includes Peter Octavius ;) hatching a plan to escape his prison confines towards reclaiming his body from Doc Ock. The Scorpion, Hydro-Man and Trapster assist in helping him escape and get to a hideout. However…
…today’s buzz on the ‘net is all about Peter Parker experiencing all of Doctor Otto Octavius’ memories including Doctor Octopus’ marriage and pre-marital sex with Peter’s Aunt May! I am scarred for life.
Since the next issue, ASM #700, begins with a scene in heaven, perhaps Peter “dies” again in #700 or that preview showcased a dream. Will Peter Parker seemingly die again? Two deaths better than one – two fates for Peter?
In any event, the FINAL issue of Amazing Spider-Man #700 is coming up soon followed and replaced by the Superior Spider-Man as part of the Marvel Now branding initiative.
