Dexter – Episode 7-10 Review – “Helter Skelter”

Reviews

Wow. That was quite an episode of Dexter, wasn’t it? Everything I’d made notes of during the episode was toast by the time we got to the end. I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t watched, so click through for the review.

One of the major characters from this season is dead. I liked Isaak as a character, even though I’ve been pretty disinterested in the storyline surrounding him. I liked watching him and Dexter work together in this episode, have to trust each other. The final scene on the boat was excellent, but I’m sorry to see Isaak die when there are still some episodes left.

But Hannah, she is not dead. I’m surprised Deb didn’t just let her die. I’m glad that the event pushed Hannah and Deb even closer together, because I need that storyline to move forward more quickly. I don’t want to just watch Dexter and Hannah play house. It needs to get uglier.

When Dexter told Deb that she’d be safe with him, I thought it sounded like foreshadowing. Will Hannah kill Deb, or will Dexter?

We’re obviously being set up for a big finish for this season with LaGuerta figuring out the truth. She’s already so close. Dexter usually delivers a good final two episodes and we only have three left so I am looking forward to seeing where this all goes.
