While enjoying his best performances of the season on Monday night, Team Cee Lo’s Nicholas David just couldn’t pull off an upset victory over the Team Blake juggernaut of runner-up Terry McDermott and winner Cassadee Pope.
I had the chance to catch up with David on December 18, 2012 right after Cassadee Pope was announced as the winner and he finished in third place. We discuss whether or not he expected the result and the influence that Cee Lo had on him, specifically with regard to fusing his soulful performances with Cee Lo’s trademark staging prowess. We also joke about being the best dressed people on the carpet as well as talking about what’s next for him.
