WWE SmackDown Spoilers 12/28/12, the final blue brand show of the year featuring — you guessed it — more Big Show and Sheamus!
Big Show and Sheamus kick things off talking about the World Heavyweight Championship. Booker T interrupted and decides to spin a tumbler to determine Big Show’s opponent for a title match tonight. The winner: Santino Marella!
Match 1. Brodus Clay def. Epico
Match 2. Team Rhodes Scholars and Wade Barrett def. Kofi Kingston and Team Hell No. Barrett pinned Kofi after landing the Souvenir Elbow.
Match 3. Antonio Cesaro def. Zack Ryder
Match 4. Dolph Ziggler (with AJ Lee and Big E. Langston) def. The Miz. Langston further beat up Miz after the match when Miz insulted AJ.
Match 5. Sheamus def. Brad Maddox via the Brogue kick to once again prevent Maddox from getting a WWE contract.
Backstage, Santino pulled a hamstring. The next name that came up was Ricardo Rodriguez, but Big Show KO’d him. Booker then said it’ll be Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio for the title tonight.
Match 6. The Usos def. The Prime Time Players
Match 7. World Heavyweight Championship Match: Big Show (c) def. Alberto Del Rio via DQ. The Big Show tried to leave during the match, but Sheamus stopped him from going all the way down the exit ramp and attacked Show to cause the official DQ.
Then, the entire SmackDown locker room emptied and the entire roster forced Show back into the ring, where Del Rio and Sheamus double-teamed Show to close out SmackDown! for 2012.
