Amazing Spider-Man #700 Steve Ditko Variant eBay HOT! Sells For $1K & Counting (Superior Spider-Man)

News

Steve Ditko, the artist that co-created Spider-Man with writer Stan Lee all those years ago, did one of the several variants for the recent Amazing Spider-Man #700 finale (review here). His was 1:200.

Looks like it is lighting up eBay. Of the over 65 sold as of the writing of this article, most have garnered upwards of several, and I mean several, hundred dollars with one actually selling for $1,025.

Of the 9 active bids, it would appear that the book will exceed that milestone as one auction with 23 bids is already ay $1,075 with 14 hours yet to go. One retailer even has a “Buy it Now” for $1,150 or best offer.

Wow. Steve Ditko is THE MAN! Writer Dan Slott has sure created a must-buy book on the secondary market. What can we expect when Superior Spider-Man #1 hits the market on January 9, 2013?

Thanks for reading. As always, all feedback welcome. :)
