WWE Monday Night Raw 12/31/12 spoilers for tonight’s New Year’s Eve episode. The two main preview elements for this broadcast are Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee’s New Year’s Eve Toast, and the theme of champions picking their own challengers for title matches. Miz TV opened and John Cena was the first guest. Cena talked about Dolph/AJ’s New Year’s Eve Toast but was interrupted by Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow. A tag match was made for tonight – Team Rhodes Scholars vs. The Miz and John Cena.

Match 1. John Cena and The Miz def. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow via the AA to Sandow.

Match 2. U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro def. Sgt. Slaughter.

Later tonight, it will be Ryback vs. The Shield.

Match 3. Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) def. 3MB (Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre).

CM Punk came out with Paul Heyman to talk about his TLC Match with Ryback for next week’s Raw. Vince McMahon interrupted and said WWE doctors will examine Punk to see if he can compete next week.

Match 4. Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler fought to a No Contest when The Shield interfered in the match.

Backstage, Brad Maddox lobbied Paul Heyman for a job. Heyman said no.

Eve decided she wanted to fight Mae Young. Since Mae Young wasn’t in the building, Eve won via forfeit and then was attacked by Kaitlyn.

Meanwhile, Big Show wants to defend his Big Gold Belt against … Ricardo Rodriguez.

Match 5. Big Show def. Ricardo Rodriguez via Disqualification when Alberto Del Rio interfered to save RR.

Kofi Kingston chose to defend the IC title against Wade Barrett.

Match 6. Wade Barrett def. Kofi Kingston to win the Intercontinental Championship via the Bell Hammer Elbow.

Ryback was set to face The Shield, who attached Ryback on the ramp. Sheamus came out to save Ryback, followed by a returning Randy Orton. The Shield escaped through the crowd as Ryback, Orton and Sheamus stood tall.

Dolph and AJ’s New Year’s Eve Toast — John Cena was not invited to the Toast, but he interrupted anyway. Cena then used the big screen to show off what AJ’s illegitimate children would look like, which had the heads of all different WWE wrestlers and legends on them.

Cena then made the big announcement that he will be in the 30-man Royal Rumble match, making him the first known entrant into the match. Cena then left and while AJ and Dolph were left in the ring, a manure-like substance fell from the rafters to ruin their toast.
