UFC Play By Play Guy In Rehab? Gossip Rag Says Mike Goldberg Being Treated For Addiction

News

Terez Owens may be a lot of things but generally they aren’t the first to break news about MMA. Apparently they’ve got sources on the record as to why Mike Goldberg, who missed his first UFC event in quite some time, was gone from the booth for UFC 155. Goldberg had discussed that he would have to “put his health first” on Twitter, causing all sorts of rampant speculation. Apparently speculation is now over as the gossip rag has a handle on the story.

Owens is reporting that Goldberg is currently battling an addiction to prescription medication. Per TO:

The UFC refused to comment, but our sources are telling us the reason behind Goldberg’s no show is he’s stuck in Rehab for a pill addiction. Our source tells us Goldberg has an addiction to adderall.

So far no one is on the record, officially, and the most Zuffa has stated is that Goldberg will be gone with no set time table to return.

Kubryk’s Take: So far we have to take it as it is; this is a rumor with no one on the record. Right now no one is denying it, though, and Zuffa nor Goldberg himself have released an official statement on it. So far all we can do is take this as a rumor that has yet to be verified.

When it does we’ll let you know. In the meantime Inside Fights wishes a speedy recovery for whatever health-related issue Mike Goldberg is facing right now.
