In an interview with AdAge, Stephanie McMahon explained why the WWE brand extension is virtually gone and why she took her character off of TV years ago aside from special appearances here and there.
On the brand split disappearing, Stephanie says, “We are all telling the same stories. And digital and social offer the ability to continue storylines 24/7 so our fans can consume the content anytime, anywhere on the device they prefer.”
Meanwhile, when asked about her character no longer being in regular storylines on TV, McMahon said that it “just got to be too much” juggling both on and off screen responsibilities.
