Murtz On The Scene: Exclusive Interview With Seed‘s Adam Korson

Features, Interviews, Top Story, Video

The ideal of the non-nuclear family is one of the most popular on network television today. While the subject of invitro, surrogacy, sperm donation, and adoption have always been a favorite of television creators and producers, it’s only recently that comedies have felt comfortable enough to tackle these subjects that have usually been reserved for drama.

City’s newest production, Seed is one of the first comedies to openly explore sperm donation from a comedic perspective. It tells the story of Harry (Adam Korson), a single, underachieving bartender who finds out that his donations to a sperm bank have resulted in him fathering two children. When both kids discover that he is their dad, big laughs are the result as Harry attempts to retain his life while making himself a part of theirs.

On January 30, I had the chance to catch up with the show’s star Adam Korson at the City building. I asked him about the controversial content of the show, if Seed is the 2013 version of Three Men & A Baby, the pressures of his first leading role and why people should catch the show that premieres tonight.

Check it out!

Seed premieres tonight on City at 8:30 p.m.
