Does the name Mike Nesmith mean anything to you? Hopefully you will remember him as the Monkee with the pompom knit hat. Turns out Mike did more than wait around for nostalgia reunions. He created Pacific Arts Video. He also found time to be a producer on three cult favorite films: Repo Man, Tapeheads and Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann. Now Timerider is coming to Blu-ray on March 19. The film is about a rider in the Baja 1000 zipping back a century in time. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory:
Lyle Swann (Henry and June‘s Fred Ward) is a champion off-road racer who accidentally gets zapped into a time-travel experiment and sent 100 years into the past!
