10 Thoughts On… Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs Favorites 2 – Episode 2 Review

10 Thoughts, Features, Reviews, Top Story

1. While I have many friends on this season of Survivor, I am now unequivocally rooting for Phillip Sheppard. Despite what everyone is saying about his sanity, he is playing a much sharper game. His Stealth R Us Inc. alliance shows that he picks alliance partners well and I believe no one in his tribe considers him a threat. Isn’t that the way to win the game? Oh, forget it. I am rooting for him simply because of the constant Boston Rob references.

2. In terms of hot girls, I am definitely missing Angie, Katie and RC from last season.

3. Shamar is truly playing one of the most awful games I have ever seen. The part that makes no sense to me whatsoever is that he was cast as a ‘fan.’ I don’t know any fans that would play as horribly as he is right now. The argument of not appearing as a threat is one thing. Being outright lazy is another. While I agree that the cool kids needed to be broken up (and kudos to Michael for seeing that), I definitely think Shamar should have been the first one to go.

4. In terms of the editing foreshadow, is there a reason Cochran is sitting on a throne everytime he speaks?

5. Do you get the feeling that the episode will suck as soon as the fans lose the immunity challenge? The high-stakes drama is definitely at the Favorites’ camp and it’s almost like the air has been let out of a balloon when the Faves win immunity. It’s strange. You want the Favorites to win but at the same time, the show is a lot more interesting when they lose.

6. In terms of the justification for last week’s vote, for the Stealth R Us Inc. alliance, I definitely think it was the right move. It has set-up three easy targets should they lose (Erik, Brandon, Brenda), and has sent Brandon on a tailspin. In terms of who benefitted the most, I definitely think it is Malcolm. He went from being a virtual unknown on his tribe to now being part of the majority alliance without knowing a single person. Very impressive work. I also like that he is willing to be the hero and the goat by always being the tosser in the challenges.

7. Why are there so many tossing challenges this season?

8. Allie got a raw deal. My belief is that she (along with the rest of the cool kids) probably thought they had more votes than they did. No one could be stupid enough to think that they could dictate how a tribal council would go with only 4 votes.

9. There were three people from Redemption Island and three people from South Pacific. Wouldn’t that have been an easy alliance of 6?

10. I don’t have a tenth point this week.
