Evan Dunham vs. Rafael Dos Anjos added to UFC On FX 8

News

A bout between long-time UFC lightweight fighters Evan Dunham (14-3, 7-3 UFC) and Rafael Dos Anjos (18-6, 7-4 UFC) has been added to the upcoming UFC On FX 8 card in May that takes place in Brazil. MMAJunkie reported the news following an initial report from GloboTV.

Dunham vs. Dos Anjos will likely be part of the night’s main card that airs on FX on May 18. Prelims air on FUEL TV and Facebook. A middleweight bout between Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold headlines the event, which will also feature Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza taking on Costa Philippou.

Dunham got back in the win column earlier this month at UFC 156 when he scored a split decision victory over Gleison Tibau. After starting his career with eleven consecutive wins, Dunham went through a rough stretch that included three losses in five fights to knock him out of title contention. A win would get Dunham back in the mix.

Dos Anjos has soared into the top ten rankings in the UFC’s lightweight divison following three straight wins and in four of his last five. Dos Anjos most recently scored a unanimous decision win over Mark Bocek at UFC 154 in November. He also holds wins over Anthony Njokuani and Kamal Shalorus during his three-fight streak, and his last loss came to the aforementioned Tibau.
