HISTORY® UNITES SWAMP PEOPLE FANS THROUGH NEW SOCIAL SITE
“SWAMP NATION”
HISTORY recently unveiled “Swamp Nation,” a destination site which allows fans to create and share their favorite moments from the show with other Swamp People fans by providing them with engaging content that will drive deeper social conversation beyond tune–in acknowledgement.
“Swamp Nation” piggybacks on the super fan allegiance hashtag, #SwampNation, used throughout past seasons and will energize fans throughout the season by providing them with the tools to create assets specifically built for sharing on social networks. Content will be created by superfans, as well as by HISTORY, through four different modules that each contain tools to create, and a gallery of the creations.
These modules include personalized e-cards, customizable memes, animated gifs of memorable series moments, and a video board where fans can view clips of their favorite moments. The site will further encourage real-time sharing as episodic will become available every Thursday at 9:00pm ET when the episodes premiere.
