Dana White announced at the UFC 160 post fight press conference that former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin is retiring from MMA. He’s citing his injury filled finale to his career as the reason.

“Biggest thing I’ve learned is that when Dana White says retire you should retire, otherwise you will blow your knee out” Griffin said at the presser.

White has said he’ll continue to work with the UFC; Griffin stated he expected to work doing charitable work for the UFC now that his fight career is over. Griffin, calling himself an “unsecured product,” said at the presser that he saw the Stann-Silva at the last UFC on Fuel card in Japan fight and stated that if he didn’t have another one of those in him he didn’t want to fight anymore.
