Daniel Bryan Legitimately Injured On Raw

Daniel Bryan actually suffered a legitimate injury during his match on Raw with Randy Orton, which is why the ringside physician stopped the match. While the announcers stated later that Bryan had suffered a “stinger” (which is when someone injures their neck and feels a shooting or stinging pain that travels down one arm, followed by numbness and weakness), the injury appears to be the same shoulder injury that occurred during his match with Orton against The Shield at the Payback PPV.

Originally, Bryan was to win cleanly over Orton in order to continue the story of Bryan getting big wins over top talent. Bryan was even scripted to say in an earlier pre-tape that his goal was to challenge for the WWE Title.

WWE still wanted to keep Bryan looking strong despite the loss, so that’s why the “rumor” of Triple H & Daniel Bryan arguing over the doctor’s stoppage was taped for WWE.com.

The injury does not appear to be too severe though as he did compete at the SmackDown taping last night.
