If you happened to have seen Payback this past Sunday, during the United States Championship match between Kane and Dean Ambrose, Ambrose attempted to walk the top rope to deliver The Undertaker’s signature “Old School” move before Kane reversed it. Then on Raw, the announcers alluded to The Shield’s destruction of The Phenom a few times during the rematch between Kane & Ambrose.
Apparently this is all part of design to bring The Undertaker back for a match at SummerSlam with his “brother” Kane vs The Shield. As you may already know, SummerSlam was originally scheduled to feature Brock Lesnar vs The Rock but with The Rock’s injury & revised film schedule, Lesnar was moved into a match with CM Punk. While the WWE has confidence that Punk/Lesnar could bring in big money, the feeling is that there needs to be another marquee star on the show and have been trying to persuade The Undertaker to wrestle for the last few weeks. Considering the events of Payback & Raw it looks certain that The Undertaker will be on the card.
