For this Rabblecast Rewind, we’re reaching back, way back to episode 6 to be exact. WWE had just revived ECW following the success of their ECW: One Night Stand PPV. Rob Van Dam became the only person to ever hold the WWE and ECW Championship at the same time. Things were looking up for fans of the “Hardcore” promotion. That all changed with a simple traffic stop in Hanging Rock, Ohio.
Rob Van Dam(Robert Szatkowski) and traveling companion, Sabu(Terry Brunk) were stopped for speeding by an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper, who discovered that Van Dam was in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin pills, while Sabu was in possession of drug paraphernalia and nine tablets of Testolactone.
We all know how it played out from there.
