CB’s Slant: Antonio Cesaro, Real Wrestler

Columns, Top Story

On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan put on one of the best TV wrestling performances in years.

With that said, Antonio Cesaro deserves a ton of credit for helping Bryan achieve such excellence on Raw:

Not only was Cesaro a credible, bigger sized opponent for Bryan to play off of, but he was also the perfect adversary in this spot. After all, Cesaro has proven he can hang in a WWE ring for lengthier TV matches, as was the case a couple of weeks ago on Main Event when he went toe to toe with Dolph Ziggler:

The best part about Cesaro’s impressive ring work is that I don’t even care about the ways his character has been tinkered with because I just want to see him wrestle.

And, well, when he is given a chance to control his own persona, just look at what Antonio Cesaro can do:

My point is this: On Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan absolutely shined for 40 minutes. And, well, for 15 or so of those minutes, Antonio Cesaro proved once again that he is a real wrestler who is worth our time and attention.

That’s all from me — CB.
