WWE SmackDown spoilers and results for Friday 8/30/13
Opening Segment: Miz TV with Big Show and Dolph Ziggler kicked things off. They reluctantly said nothing negative about Triple H, and then COOHHH came out. Hunter said Miz will face Randy Orton and Ziggler will fight all three Shield members while Big Show has to sit ringside and not do anything. HHH then made Miz call Orton the future of WWE.
Randy Orton def. The Miz – afterwards The Shield attacked Miz, but Daniel Bryan made the save with a chair in hand and cleared The Shield from the ring.
Vickie Guerrero booked Bryan vs. Ryback to punish Daniel.
RVD def. Damien Sandow – afterwards Alberto Del Rio came out and cut a promo on RVD and Ricardo.
The Shield def. Dolph Ziggler 3-on-1 – Big Show did nothing as he watched.
Paul Heyman and his guy Curtis Axel cut a promo on CM Punk for their match at Night of Champions.
The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) def. Tons of Funk – Bray Wyatt nailed Tensai with Sister Abigail afterwards.
Daniel Bryan def. Ryback by DQ after Randy Orton interfered. Bryan then put Orton in the YES! Lock but The Shield attacked. Again, Big Show reluctantly did nothing and then HHH ordered him to leave. The Shield continued to attack Bryan and then Orton spray-painted something in Bryan’s chest, nwo-style, to close the show.
