There’s been a lot of questions recently regarding new storylines on WWE TV that have prominently featured different forms of “bullying”, mainly Ryback’s new character and the main event storyline of the company’s “COO” Triple H degrading Daniel Bryan weekly. Considering the WWE founded the anti-bullying “Be A STAR” campaign, many critics have been outspoken about how hypocritical these angles may come off to young children who might be confused by what they are seeing on Raw or SmackDown.

WWE executive Stephanie McMahon, one of the forerunners of the entire “Be A STAR” initiative, responded to a fan on Twitter Thursday when they expressed concern over this very subject. Below is the conversation that followed:

Harrak’s Hit: While the WWE does make an effort to have its announcers say that “Ryback isn’t an ambassador for the Be A STAR campaign” after his backstage segments, there’s no such talk when Triple H or Randy Orton are mocking Daniel Bryan for his appearance or lack of size. And while this small blurb on Twitter is nice, the WWE could at least post a message on WWE.com or their corporate website stating this stance a little more clearly for those parents that do have children questioning what they are watching every Monday and Friday.
