Bjorn Rebney apparently is going back on his mantra of not going after UFC castoffs in certain situations. Bellator 108 happens to be one of them. Joey Beltran, coming off a three fight streak where he went 0-2 with one no contest (due to a drug testing failure), is now coming over to Bellator.
He’ll be replacing Tito Ortiz against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Originally Jackson/Ortiz was lined up for this weekend. Beltran/Jackson will be lined up on the November 15th card in Atlantic City in a slight rescheduling.
Beltran recently lost to Fabio Maldonado in Brazil on a UFC Fight Night Card in early October. Jackson is on a three fight losing streak of his own, most recently to Glover Teixiera at UFC on Fox 4 in Chicago.
