Super Bowl Weekend Gets Two Title Fights – UFC 169 Headlined by Dominick Cruz’s Return, Jose Aldo’s Return

Dominick Cruz hasn’t fought in the UFC since emphatically defeating Demetrious Johnson on the last UFC on Versus card. He’s been sidelined with a variety of knee ailments ever since he was on the live season of “The Ultimate Fighter” and now he’ll be making his return.

Cruz will unify the bantamweight title with Renan Barao’s version of it on Super Bowl weekend for UFC 169. Barao is coming off a emphatic finish of Eddie Wineland. But he won’t have the sole title fight of the evening.

Jose Aldo Jr. returns to defend his title against Ricardo Lamas. Aldo is coming off a recent TKO victory over Chan Sung Jung, “The Korean Zombie.” Lamas will be returning to the cage after a year off, emphatically finishing Eric Koch at UFC on Fox 4 in January of this year.
