Dana White put Matt Brown vs. Carlos Condit off the table because he had a bigger fight in mind for the former interim welterweight champion. And it was a doozy: NICK DIAZ.
Condit agreed to it … and Diaz didn’t. Per the UFC’s Twitter Feed:
Dana was trying to get Condit vs Nick Diaz set up but Diaz turned it down. Diaz says maybe he will come back in May.

Diaz may be returning sometime this spring, apparently, but is still retired. So far Condit is without an opponent for UFC 171, where he’s been bandied about on the undercard underneath Robbie Lawler vs. Johny Hendricks for the newly vacated UFC welterweight title.
