Justice League #26 Spoilers: Origins Of 4 Crime Syndicate Members Revealed & What’s Next For Earth 3’s Hooded Prisoner (DC Comics New 52 In Review)

News, Spoilers

The preview had me ready for DC Comics’ other Christmas Eve offering: Justice League #26 (the other book was Forever Evil #4; top 5 moments from that issue are here).

SPOILERS follow for Justice League #26.

In the issue we learn about how Hal Jordan became Earth 3’s Power Ring and why he is so afraid to recharge his ring (his fear is palpable in this week’s Forever Evil #4). And, that is one disfigured Abin Sur!

The Crime Syndicate’s Johnny Quick and Atomica (the Syndicate’s evil Flash and Atom) have their shared origin revealed in Justice League #26 as well: they are Earth 3’s modern era Bonnie & Clyde. There are some Easter Eggs in the issue also referencing Ray Palmer (pre-Flashpoint Atom) as seen below, and the police/jail guards (who are Flash’s Rogues on the main New 52 Earth).

We also get a one-page quick origin for Deathstorm, the Crime Syndicate’s evil Firestorm. And, it appears, in the modern-day sequences, The Grid can find no record of the origin of Superwoman, the Syndicate’s evil Wonder Woman. I wonder why not?

It also appears that we are close to the reveal (and purpose) of the hood prisoner from Earth 3 (top 5 identity picks here). Just who is his/her ally as alluded to below? And, next issue, per the cliffhanger we get Cyborg… 2.0?

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone!

Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome. :)
