After achieving cult success with two Evil Dead movies, director Sam Raimi was ready to tackle a real Hollywood project. He got his chance with Darkman. The movie about a scientist out for revenge became a mid-size hit in 1990. The movie was seen as a smart approach to the super hero genre. Now the movie is getting the proper respect with Scream Factory putting out a collector’s edition Blu-ray packed with extras on February 18.
