Zappa Documentary Arrives In Late November

Are you curious about those Frank Zappa records that are lurking in your father’s old vinyl collection? You rarely hear Frank Zappa on the radio outside of “Valley Girl” that he made with his daughter Moon Unit. You might see him on TV specials about the time senator’s wives tried to put warnings on records. Do you want to know a little bit more about him? Now Alex Winter and his team of filmmakers will give you a sense of the man, his music and his life with Zappa. The movie is slated to come out on in select theaters on November 23 before arriving on VOD platforms on November 27. The film has plenty of never before seen footage since Zappa enjoyed filming and videotaping so much in his life. And for those curious, yes, director Alex Winter is Bill from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Alex Winter has become one of the finest documentary filmmakers of our time with his movies about Napster, the Dark Web, the Panama Papers and child actors. Here’s the press release and the trailer:
