WWE Main Event Taping Results For 01.15.2014 [Spoilers]

News

What happens on this week’s WWE Main Event?

– Not a huge crowd, but with the set-up, not bad either. I’d say between 5,500-6,000 in attendance. Really small floor set-up.

Dark Match: Alexander Rusev made Tyson Kidd tap to the Camel Clutch. Not overly competitive. Lots of kicking from both sides.

Main Event SPOILERS 1/15

(1) Kofi Kingston beat Curtis Axel. Great pop for Kofi followed by very lukewarm reception for Axel. Good match. Kofi won with a roll-up. Post-match, Ryback’s music hit. He walked the ramp, slowly walked around the ring, and then walked to the back. Kofi looked confused.

– Highlights aired of Michael Cole’s weekly sit-down interview with Triple H.

(2) Damien Sandow beat Sin Cara. Great pop for Sandow as he grew up a few towns over from Worcester and went to high school in the city. Sin Cara got all his offense in early. Towards the end, Ryback again came out and stormed around the ring three or four times just yelling at fans ringside. Sandow celebrated and didn’t even pay attention to him. No contact between the two at all.

– Video aired about WWE Network. … Bad News Barrett segment. He talked about the upcoming Royal Rumble match. It looks like he’s in. Barrett also called everyone livestock and said he’s glad we put our bongs away long enough to come to the show tonight. Ryback again came out and paced around ring. One trip around this time.

(3) The Prime Time Players beat 3MB in a handicap match. The match was set up by Brad Maddox in a backstage segment. Very quick match. Darren Young won with a roll-up on Drew McIntyre. No one else even tagged in. Heath Slater then said he wants the match re-started and Brad Maddox came out. He said he won’t re-start the match, but he will give them a new six-man tag match against… Los Matadores and El Torito.

(4) Los Matadores & El Torito beat 3MB in a six-man tag match. The crowd was very strongly behind the face team here, especially Torito. Los Matadores won rather easily. Ryback then came back out again pacing around the ring. He left to end Main Event.

Overall, Ryback’s music hit several times during the show in which he came out, circled the ring, and then walked back up the ramp.
