Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of director Alexander Payne’s Nebraska, starring Bruce Dern, Will Forte, June Squibb, Bob Odenkirk and Stacy Keach. The film will make its arrival to home video as a Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack on February 25, 2014.
Official Synopsis: Hailed as an American masterpiece, Nebraska is nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Payne), Best Actor (Dern), Best Original Screenplay (Bob Nelson), Best Supporting Actress (Squibb) and Best Cinematography (Phedon Papamichael). The film has also been named one of the best films by numerous publications (including Wall Street Journal and New York Times), multiple critcs associations and from entitles like AFI and the National Board of Review.
The film tells the captivating story of a father (Bruce Dern) and his adult son (Will Forte) who embark on a journey to claim a million-dollar prize; what begins as a fool’s errand becomes a search for the road to redemption.
The Blu-ray release of Nebraska is presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio 3.0 track. Extras include a six-part making-of documentary.
