Kurt Angle News: TNA Contract, WWE “Desire”, Possible Wrestlemania 31 Opponent

News

Kurt Angle did an interview with the UK Sun promoting the TNA tour of the UK

on his TNA contract
I can’t say when. My (TNA) contract is up in September and I’ve left my options open. I’m very happy in TNA. Dixie Carter has treated me very well and always been there for me. But, I can’t lie to myself anymore. I can’t lie to TNA or WWE. Yeah, there is that desire to go back. I just don’t know when. It could be this year. It could be next year. I don’t know when

on returning to WWE
he sees himself returning to WWE before his career is over. It’s not a bad thing to stay in TNA at all. I just have some unfinished business in WWE. Whether it’s this year or three years from now. (Angle) wants to wrestle Daniel Bryan or C.M. Punk, similar to how A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe drew him to TNA in the mid-2000s. Angle also said he would like to main-event WrestleMania with Triple H.

Angle also called Brock Lesnar his “best wrestling rival” and took the blame for Lesnar’s botched Shooting Star Press at WrestleMania 19 since it was Angle’s idea.

Angle said he would face Ultimate Warrior if given the opportunity because he thinks he could get a “five-star match” out of Warrior.
