WWE SmackDown Spoilers and Results for Friday 02.07.2014 – Daniel Bryan Responds to Corporate Kane’s Attack on Raw, More of The Shield vs. Wyatts Build to Elimination Chamber PPV Match

WWE SmackDown spoilers and results for Friday 2/7/14:

Opening segment: Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring and cuts a promo on not wanting to be the face of the WWE. Bryan then calls out his ex-Team Hell No partner Kane, which brings out Citizen Kane. Bryan asked Kane what the hell happened to his friend, and actually tells Kane to grab his mask and bring back the Monster. Corporate Kane said he traded in his old life for a corner office and tells Bryan they were never friends. Kane then books Bryan vs. Antonio Cesaro in a match tonight.

–The Shield def. Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston – Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were in the match with Seth Rollins at ringside. Ziggler sold everything like a pro but once again lost after a vicious Spear from Reigns that led to a hard, mocking tag to Ambrose, who scored the pin as Reigns smiled. Tension brewed as the Wyatts cut another promo on The Shield from the back.

–Sheamus def. Ryback

–Alberto Del Rio talks smack to Batista

–Daniel Bryan def. Antonio Cesaro in what was reported as a brilliant match filled with great counters. Bryan won with a hurricanrana into the YES! Lock.

After the match, Corporate Kane came out, Cesaro hit Bryan with The Neutralizer and Kane then nailed D-Bry with a The Choke Slam from Stamford! (trademark: CB)

–Randy Orton cuts a promo on Elimination Chamber participant Christian, who he faces tonight.

–AJ Lee def. Brie Bella

–Titus O’Neil backstage interview leads to an attack by ex-tag partner Darren Young (cue “hundreds of thousands of dollars” dance)

–Bray Wyatt def. Goldust with the Wyatts and Cody Rhodes at ringside. When Bray Wyatt did his spider-crawl, Goldust actually looked intrigued, which is perfectly bizarre for his character. Wyatt eon with Sister Abigail and then The Shield cut another promo on the Wyatts in rebuttal from earlier in the night.

–Randy Orton def. Christian in the main event with an RKO.

END SHOW

CB’s Slant: I think it would be a great idea to have Orton win his matches against every other Elimination Chamber participant leading up to the PPV, which would truly accentuate Bryan’s win on Raw. The story can then be everyone in the match targeting not just Orton but Bryan and Orton, because they know that Bryan was the only one who beat Randy one-on-one.

Also, anyone else think that Jack Swagger is going to turn on Cesaro out of jealousy? It would be great to see Cesaro turn face, as his in-ring offense just deserves to be massively appreciated and cheered.

That’s all from me — CB
