On February 14 2014, I caught up with Mark Ballas from Dancing With The Stars and So You Think You Can Dance at the Toronto Dances With The Stars event in Toronto. We discussed a variety of topics including how celebrity partners are assigned to the professionals, why Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke always seem to get the best celebrity dancers and Mark’s new roommate. We also discussed whether he considers himself to be one of the bad boys on the show as he is constantly pushing the envelope as far as what the judges prefer. Given that Ballas won the program with two Olympians (Kristi Yamaguchi & Shawn Johnson respectively), I asked him if there was a chance we would see him paired with another Olympian on the next season. Mark also previewed the 2some Dance workshop that he is hosting with Lindsay Arnold this weekend in Toronto and gave me some tips for my dance lesson with her.
