Okay last week’s Benoit article went better than I thought. People brought up some good points, and had me think a little more about my position. I was coming from the angle that Benoit’s actions could hurt others in a similar position. There are still a lot of athletes with damaged brains out there, and I worry they’ll be stigmatized. I also wanted to apologize for the sensational title of the article. I was very interested in hearing feedback from everyone. If anyone was offended I apologize.
Well enough Benoit. I’m ready to get back into the positive parts of pro-wrestling. Probably the highest point of pro-wrestling each year is WrestleMania. I have friends that never watch wrestling except for Mania. For me personally, Mania has just been one big blur since 2005. I remember HBK VS Taker, and nothing else. The main events have had the same three guys they built up for the previous year, and Undertaker has a match. So I thought for this year we could look at some goodies that might help remember this year’s event. Lets go.
Brock Lesner VS Undertaker: This sounds thrown together. I guess Brock was the only guy left that fans would care to see face Mark. I don’t know why they aren’t mentioning that this is Paul’s second guy to attempt to beat The Undertaker? They don’t even need to mention Punk. I’m personally not interested if Undertaker keeps the streak, or never comes back. We all know Brock will lose. Probably after a Tombstone. I guess the only thing to watch for is to see if Lesner injures Undertaker by accident?
Andre The Giant Battle Royale: I’m hoping this will be a yearly thing. No title shot for the winner, just the honor of winning. I would like to see Big Show win because it would be a fun little moment(I’m sappy like that). I wouldn’t mind seeing Big E or Ziggler win either. I don’t really see needing to give anyone a rub here because winning a battle royale is more of a crap shoot then a technical achievement.
Usos VS Ryabaxel VS Real Americans VS Los Matadores: These are four good tag teams. I like them. I know some aren’t sure why Matadores is in this match. Los Matadores are as good as any of the other three teams. Besides El Torito can dance around while JBL yells at him, which is always a treat.
Shield VS Kane and The Outlaws: I’ve heard that this was supposed to be Kane and The Ascension against The Shield, but the Outlaws wanted one final Mania match. That sounds like a dumb reason to change plans. I get the feeling that WWE is making too many decisions based on emotion, or people are just putting up idiotic excuses on their dirt sheets. It’s cool they turned the Shield face. I haven’t been this excited about a face turn since Alberto did it. Which brings up another fear, that Shield will be watered down and boring like Del Rio was. I don’t care who wins this match, but I’m hearing Reigns is supposed to get a push? Maybe Reigns will score the pin?
Triple H VS Bryan + Orton VS Batista VS (winner of Bryan vs Triple h): I’ve heard a lot of people who wouldn’t mind seeing the main event turn out to be Hunter, Orton, and Batista. Whatever the outcome, I think WWE should look at Orton again. I don’t care if fans like him or TNA wants him, or whatever stupid leverage we think he has. Orton is as boring as ever. It still takes him 20 years to get to the ring, he isn’t practicing what he’s supposed to say. At least Batista and Triple H look like they want to main event. I’m still pretty sure Bryan or Batista will come out winners.
Bray VS Cena: This has been built up well, and I like both these guys. I’ve grown used to the fact that Cena will always be the hero. Bray is a good foil for Cena. If Cena beats Bray, they could still have Bray laughing away as Cena leaves the ring? I’m still high on the Wyatts, and Cena hasn’t faced many insane heels. I think R-Truth was the last one? Anyway I left you a video present at the bottom here. Enjoy.
