MMA Junkie is reporting UFC 173 has got a new main event. After Weidman/Machida was moved to July due to an injury to Weidman a new title fight has been added to the card.
T.J Dillashaw, coming off a convincing win over Mike Easton, will be following his teammate Urijah Faber in challenging Renan Barao for the UFC bantamweight title. Barao, who finished Urijah Faber earlier this year, will be marking what could be the 4th defense of some iteration of the bantamweight title. He previously defended the interim title in finish victories over Michael MacDonald and Eddie Wineland before an injury to Dominick Cruz promoted him to undisputed champion, where he finished Faber via first round TKO.
