My Thoughts: WWE Raw 3.31.14 (Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Triple H)

WWE Raw 11-13 Header

1. That was exactly how Brock Lesnar should have returned a few years ago. Dominate, physical and not have the recent history of losing every match he’s been featured in. Where there used to be mystique surrounding Brock Lesnar, all of that has been tossed out of the window by now.

2. Stephanie McMahon recording the voice-over for the Triple H promo was an incredible idea. The promo itself was stellar work! The video packages that the WWE has been putting forth lately have been better than ever and prove that a video package can a helluva lot more than a simple promo on the mic.

3. Another good performance from the brothers from different mothers, Goldust and Cody Rhodes. And yet they’re put into the battle royal and don’t get a rematch for the tag team championships. For a team that seemingly regenerated the tag team division, they’re completely getting shafted at WrestleMania.

4. If everything was right in the world of the WWE, Bray Wyatt would be made a star this Sunday by pinning John Cena cleanly. Whether or not that happens is anyone’s guess right now. But Cena won’t be hurt by a loss – Wyatt would be. Just look at what happened when the mystique of Lesnar was broken. Now put that onto a young, unique star that can draw money for you in the future. I’d say you would have to go with Wyatt on Sunday.

5. Well that segment pretty much sealed the deal on my pick, the Big Show winning the battle royal. Damn, it would be a cool moment to see the modern-day giant win the battle royal named after the original giant.

6. That was a pretty damn good way to end the show. Not only did we get a taste of the complete boredom Randy Orton vs Batista would have been but Bryan finally got a piece on everyone… accept the champion, Randy Orton. Now we just have to hope that the final shot of Bryan standing tall tonight will be repeated at WrestleMania XXX this Sunday.
