After the announcement at Bellator’s event last night that Tito Ortiz v. Alexander Schlemenko is going to be on Bellator’s PPV, Jason Floyd of The MMA Report has the inside scoop on another potential bout.
Alexander Volkov vs. Blagoi Ivanov, the final for this season’s heavyweight tournament, is being targeted for Bellator’s inaugural PPV event (Bellator 120). Volkov is a former Bellator heavyweight champion whose only loss in the company is to current champion Vitaly Minakov. Ivanov is best known for defeating Fedor Emelianenko in combat sambo in 2008.
The PPV is currently headlined by the trilogy fight between Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.
