The Trilogy Is Off – Eddie Alvarez Out Of Bellator 120

News

A last minute injury has potentially derailed Bellator’s arrival into the PPV market again. A year ago a last minute injury to Tito Ortiz derailed Ortiz/Jackson … and now a concussion a week out will prevent Eddie Alvarez from competing at Bellator’s inaugural PPV.

Initially reported by Greg Savage of Sherdog, then denied at Bellator 119 by Bjorn Rebney himself, Alvarez’s removal from the main event has been confirmed by MMA Fighting.

So far no replacement has been officially named … as well as no confirmation on whether or not Bellator 120 will still remain a PPV event.

Edit: Sherdog is reporting that Will Brooks will be stepping up for Alvarez against Chandler.
