Welcome fight fans to Inside Fights’ live coverage of UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinatti, Ohio. The event is headlined by a five-round welterweight bout as Matt Brown squares off with Erick Silva. I’m Ryan Frederick and I’ll be handling the coverage of the event. The event will kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass, then switches over to FOX Sports 2 for continuing preliminary bouts leading into the main card on FOX Sports 1. The action kicks off at 6:30 PM eastern time.

Anthony Lapsley (23-6 (2), 0-1 UFC) vs. Albert Tumenov (12-2, 0-1 UFC)

ROUND 1- We kick things off with a welterweight bout with both men looking to score their first win inside the Octagon. Lapsley originally missed weight but made it to 171 pounds within two hours. Keith Peterson oversees the opening contest. Lapsley is the favorite according to the oddsmakers. Lapsley immediately shoots in for a takedown but it is defended. Lapsley looks to set up a striking attack from the southpaw position and lands a body kick. Tumenov then knocks Lapsley down with a left hook but he gets right back up. Tumenov misses a big head kick. Lapsley misses a right hook. Tumenov backs Lapsley up against the cage. Lapsley shoots in and gets Tumenov down for a second but they get right back up. Not much action halfway through the first round. Tumenov lands a right hand and then a left hook. Tumenov lands a right hand. Tumenov lands a left hook. Tumenov misses the left hook and Lapsley misses on a takedown. Tumenov misses another big head kick but lands a left hook. Lapsley lands a left hand. Tumenov lands a big right hand. Tumenov lands a big punch and Lapsley is out cold! Big knockout win by Tumenov who knocks Lapsley out cold with a left hook. Tumenov gets his first UFC win.

Justin Salas (11-5, 2-2 UFC) vs. Ben Wall (7-1-1, 0-1 UFC)

ROUND 1- We move to lightweight action. Salas and Wall both enter looking to rebound from losses in their last fight. Gary Copeland will be the referee for this fight. Salas is the betting favorite. Wall misses a head kick to start and Salas lands a left hand to the body. They get in close and clinch as Salas looks for a takedown but they break. Salas with an inside leg kick. They scramble and end up with Salas having Wall pushed against the fence. Salas with some knees and they break. Salas goes for a takedown but it is defended. Salas grabs the neck and Wall falls to his knees. Salas with a knee to the body as he looks to transition to the back control. Salas still has the neck but they break on their feet. Salas goes for a takedown but Wall scrambles out. Salas with a high kick. They tie back up. Salas with a knee. Salas with an uppercut in close and then a leg kick. Wall misses a body kick. They tie up and Salas with a knee to the body. Salas hurts Wall with a punch and then drops Wall with a left hand and more punches on the ground and this is over! Gary Copeland stops the fight and Salas has scored the TKO victory, his third UFC win.

Manvel Gamburyan (13-7 (1), 4-5 (1) UFC) vs. Nik Lentz (24-6-2 (1), 8-3-1 (1) UFC)

ROUND 1- We finish off the Fight Pass portion of the card with a featherweight fight between two veterans with a combined 23 UFC bouts. Gamburyan is a coming off a loss that was turned to a no contest due to Dennis Siver failing a drug test. Lentz had his win streak snapped by Chad Mendes in his last fight. Jerry Krzys is the referee. Lentz is the betting favorite. Lentz lands a right hand to start things off. Lentz with a solid combination that stuns Gamburyan. Lentz with a step in knee as he ducks under a right hand from Gamburyan. They both miss big right hands and it allows Lentz to grab Gamburyan and force him against the fence. Lentz with two knees to the head in the body lock as he looks to drag this fight down. Lentz with some left hands from back control. Lentz with some knees to the body. Gamburyan fighting to get to his feet. They are on their feet. Both men land knees to the body and Lentz lands a right hand low and we have a timeout. Gamburyan was in a lot of trouble there but he gets recovery time. Back to action. Lentz misses a big right hand. Gamburyan with a left hand to the body and both men land combinations. Lentz pressures Gamburyan against the cage and is looking to take this fight down. Lentz with some knees to the head and he gets this fight down and looks for back control. Lentz with a combo on the ground and looks for a takedown but Gamburyan lands some hammerfists. Gamburyan looks for a kimura as he grabs an arm. Lentz gets out and takes the back. Lentz with a knee to the body. We are going to the second round. Nice round of action. 10-9 Lentz.

ROUND 2- Gamburyan quickly takes the center of the Octagon. We have a quick timeout to remove tape. Gamburyan stuns Lentz with a right hand and then both men come out swinging. Big punches from both land. Lentz with a head kick and a knee to the body. Lentz with an uppercut but misses a right hand. They throw hands and Gamburyan grabs a leg and gets the takedown. Gamburyan in the guard of Lentz. Gamburyan keeps Lentz on the ground as he looks to scramble out. Lentz scrambles to his feet and they break as Lentz lands a knee. Lentz forces Gamburyan against the fence and lands some big knees to the body. Lentz drops for a takedown but eats some elbows from Gamburyan. Lentz gets the fight to the ground and looks to take full control of the back. Lentz with some left hands from the back. Lentz transitions around and grabs the neck of Gamburyan. Lentz with a big knee to the chest and then another. Those were borderline illegal knees. Gamburyan looks for a single-leg but Lentz sprawls out and lands some left hands. Lentz with another round of knees to the chest. Gamburyan gets to his feet as Lentz looks to drag it back down. Lentz working hard for the takedown and has the body lock. Lentz with knees to the leg. Gamburyan switches out but Lentz has him pressed against the fence. We’ll go to the final round but Lentz is in control. 10-9 Lentz, 20-18 Lentz.

ROUND 3- Gamburyan likely needs a finish and he takes the center of the Octagon. Gamburyan with a right hand. Gamburyan looks for a front kick. Lentz with a right hand but lands a head kick and a combo. They swing and both men land to the body and Lentz goes in to take this fight to the mat. Gamburyan defends but Lentz gets it to the mat. Gamburyan grabs an arm and is looking for a kimura. Gamburyan has the arm and Lentz is looking to spin out as Gamburyan tries to crank the arm. Lentz maintains his composure. Lentz escapes and he takes control. Lentz with some punches but Gamburyan sweeps and ends up on top of Lentz. Elbow from the top by Gamburyan. Lentz grabs the neck trying to escape but Gamburyan is in his full guard. Gamburyan with some shoulder strikes. They are quickly stood up and that looked bad. Lentz with a combo and a leg kick. They trade punches and Gamburyan with a big body kick. Gamburyan shoots in for the takedown but Lentz reverses and ends up in side control. Lentz with some elbows from the top. Gamburyan tries to scramble out but Lentz has his back. Lentz with some knees to the body. They get to their feet but Lentz has Gamburyan pressed against the fence. Gamburyan with some big elbows as Lentz has the body lock. Gamburyan looking for a big finish as Lentz has the body locked. We are going to the judges. Close last round that we’ll give to Gamburyan but the fight goes to Lentz. 10-9 Gamburyan, 29-28 Lentz.

ROUND 1- We move to bantamweight action on FOX Sports 2. Wineland is looking for his second straight win following a loss in a title fight against Renan Barao. Eduardo hasn’t fought in almost two years but is looking for his second straight win as well. Herb Dean makes his first appearance as referee tonight. Wineland is the betting favorite. Eduardo starts off with a leg kick. They tie up quickly but break. Wineland looks to land the jab. Wineland with a right hand but Eduardo counters with a leg kick. Wineland with a right hand. Eduardo with an inside leg kick. Wineland with a quick head combo. Wineland with a leg kick. Eduardo with a leg kick. Wineland snaps off a jab. Eduardo with a leg kick and then a high kick. Both looking to land the jab. Wineland with a leg kick and Eduardo tries to counter with a takedown but Wineland backs away. Eduardo with a right hand. Eduardo just misses a right hand. They clinch but break with nothing happening. Eduardo with an inside leg kick. Eduardo with a leg kick. They trade right hands and Eduardo hits a big right hand that wobbles Wineland and then drops Wineland with a big right hand and it is over! Eduardo with a big finish and a huge upset of the former title challenger. Eduardo was a big underdog in this fight.

ROUND 1- We move to welterweight action. Both men are looking to back up impressive wins in their UFC debuts. Cabral is undefeated in his career. Keith Peterson is the third man in the Octagon. Cabral is the betting favorite. Cummings looks to land the right hook early. Cabral misses a head kick. Cabral lands a right hand but Cummings stuns him with a counter and Cabral goes down for a moment. They scramble on the ground and Cummings is in Cabral’s guard. Cabral throws his legs up looking for the triangle. He lands elbows from the bottom as he pursues the submission. Cummings is fighting it off. Cabral switches his leg positions and Cummings is able to escape. Cabral scrambles to his knees and they get to their feet. They battle in a tie up against the fence and Cabral is trying to get this fight down to the ground. Cabral with a body lock. They scramble to the mat but get up and remain tied up. Cabral picks Cummings up and gets him down on the mat against the cage. Cabral is in the half-guard. Cabral working to pass the guard into mount. Cabral fighting to get to mount as he tries to move to side control. Cabral with an elbow from the top. Cabral looking to set up an arm triangle but the round is winding down. Cummings slides out but eats an elbow. Cabral closes out in the guard. 10-9 Cabral.

ROUND 2- Cabral goes for a head kick but Cummings catches the leg and throws him to the mat. Cabral wants Cummings to come to the ground with him but Cummings stays standing and lands some leg kicks. The referee orders Cabral to their feet and they trade punches right away. Cummings with a body kick and lands a big combo against the fence. Cabral with a right hand and Cummings eats it. Cabral with a body kick. Cummings misses a left hand but lands a combo and a leg kick. They trade and Cabral goes for a takedown but Cummings sprawls and ends up in the guard of Cabral. Cummings with a left hand from the top. Cabral looks to land some elbows from the bottom. Cummings with an elbow from the top. Cummings remains on top but scrambles away and they get to their feet. ROUND 3- This round decides it. Cabral comes out with a leg kick and Cummings lands a right hand. Cabral misses a head kick and misses on a takedown. Cummings lands a combo as he backs Cabral up against the fence. Cummings with a knee to the leg of Cabral. Cummings has the body lock against the fence. Cabral with a spinning elbow as they break. Cummings misses a wheel kick. Cabral with another spinning elbow but it allows Cummings to grab a body lock. They scramble to the ground and Cummings is on top. Cabral tries to get a triangle locked up but Cummings escapes and lands some punches. Cabral tries to transition to a leg but Cummings escapes and falls into full mount. Cummings with a left hand from the top. Cabral tries to scramble out. Cummings has full back mount and looks to lock in a choke. Cabral is out of it. Montague locks in a standing guillotine and it is tight. Horiguchi gets out. They are tied against the fence but break. Horiguchi lands a straight right hand and then a blitz with punches and kicks. Montague with a leg kick. Horiguchi misses a left hand. They trade punches and Montague with a body kick. They trade punches again and Horiguchi lands a head kick and then a body kick. Horiguchi with a combo and Montague is stunned. Montague recovers and ties up for a moment but they break and Horiguchi lands a punch. Montague is hurt and goes for a takedown but it is defended. Montague is still hurt and down on his knees and Horiguchi unloads punches from the back. Montague is in trouble but hangs on and is bleeding. Montague with a left hand. They trade punches. Horiguchi with a body kick. Another body kick from Horiguchi and he lands a right hand. Montague with a double jab. Horiguchi with a left hook. Montague with a flying knee to the body. They trade punches. Montague with a high kick but Horiguchi grabs the leg and takes this fight down. Horiguchi with a big right hand and then starts to throw some ground-and-pound. He postures up and lands some more punches from the top. Montague is covering up. Herman with a leg kick as Natal looks to land the right hand. Natal with a leg kick. Natal looks to establish the jab. Natal with a front kick. Natal with an inside leg kick. Natal with a body kick and Herman lands a right hand. Natal with a leg kick and then another and the slip to the ground and Natal falls into Herman’s guard. Natal with a short elbow from the top and Natal goes to ground-and-pound. Herman with an elbow from the bottom as he looks to escape from the bottom. Both men landing some shots on the ground. Natal is looking to transition but Herman has him well in his guard. Natal with some punches from the top. Herman uses the fence to get to his feet and they are locked up against the cage. They trade punches. Natal with the takedown and he is in the guard of Herman. They battle for position on the ground and Natal lands a big right hand. Herman looks to land elbows from the bottom. Natal goes for a takedown but Herman lands a left hook. Natal lands a right hand as he breaks away. They clinch and Herman with a knee to the body. We have a timeout for a groin strike. We get back to action and Herman comes out unloading with his punches. Herman with a leg kick. Natal is bleeding good but lands a front kick to the chin. Herman eats it and tells Natal it landed good as they high five. Herman with a leg kick. Natal misses a spinning back fist and they clinch up. Herb Dean is the third man inside the Octagon. Smolka is the betting favorite. Smolka misses a head kick to start off. Cariaso with a body kick. They trade kicks and Cariaso with a leg kick. They clinch up and Smolka pushes Cariaso against the fence. Smolka has double underhooks. Cariaso with some knees to the body of Smolka. Smolka with some knees to Cariaso. They still battle for position against the fence as both land knees. Smolka with a knee to the body of Cariaso and Cariaso counters with his own. Not a lot of action going on. Smolka has an overhook and is looking for a throw but Cariaso slips out. Cariaso lands a big elbow and they break. Cariaso with a body kick. ROUND 2- Smolka with a leg kick to start but Cariaso fires back with a combo. Cariaso lands a straight left hand and they clinch. Smolka drops down but gives up his back and Cariaso takes advantage on the ground. Cariaso has the hooks in and lands punches from back control. Smolka trying to escape and gets to his feet. He does and Cariaso is on the ground. Smolka falls into the guard of Cariaso. Smolka with body punches from inside the guard. Cariaso looks to get his legs high and set up a submission. Smolka leaves his arm open but counters and escapes. They scramble to their feet. Smolka with a knee in the clinch as he pushes Cariaso against the fence. Smolka with body punches and a knee to the body. They battle for position and Cariaso gets a takedown and into the guard of Smolka. Cariaso with some body punches. Cariaso postures up and lands a right hand from the top. Smolka rolls out and gets to his feet. Smolka with a combo and just misses an uppercut. Cariaso lands a nice combo and rocks Smolka with a left hand. Smolka gets a takedown but Cariaso has his back to the cage and gets up. ROUND 3- We head to the final round of a close fight. Cariaso comes out with a combo. Smolka misses a head kick. Cariaso with a leg kick and then another. Smolka with a leg kick. Cariaso lands a combo. Smolka with a body kick. Cariaso with a left hand. They trade punches. Cariaso with a head kick. Cariaso with two leg kicks. They trade punches and Smolka with a body kick. Cariaso with a combo ending with a leg kick. Smolka with a trip to the ground and he has Cariaso against the fence. Smolka is on top and lands a left hand. Cariaso looks to work to his feet. Smolka postures up and lands some punches and goes to the mount and starts to unleash some ground-and-pound. Big elbow from Smolka. Smolka looks to move to side control. Keith Peterson is the referee. Palelei is the betting favorite. Potts misses on a leg kick early. Potts misses a left hook and Palelei counters with a takedown. Palelei is in side control and lands some body punches. Potts has the neck but Palelei is in good position. Palelei rolls out and Potts still has the neck. Palelei is on top in the guard against the fence. Potts with a punch from the bottom. Palelei with punches from the top. Potts looks for a triangle but Palelei stands up and gets out. Means is the betting favorite. Magny with a low kick to start. Means with a left hand to the body. Magny with a leg kick but Means counters with his own. Means with a front kick followed by a left hand. They clinch for a moment and Means lands an elbow. Magny with a leg kick and then a jab. Means with a leg kick. Both looking to land a punch. Both men with front kicks. Means is having trouble getting in range with Magny’s reach. Means with a knee to the body as they clinch. Both battling for a takedown. They break and Magny finishes with an elbow. Means with a leg kick and Magny counters with a straight right hand. They clinch again and Magny gets a takedown and is in the half-guard. Means scrambles to his feet and they break. Means with a straight left hand to the body. Magny with a nice combination. Means with a spinning back fist that lands. Magny with a teet kick to the body. Magny drops Means with a left hand. Means recovers to his feet and Magny grabs the body lock. Means with some elbows from the body lock. They finish the round clinched against the fence. 10-9 Magny.

ROUND 2- They both try to land leg kicks but none land. Magny with a right hand and just misses a body kick. Magny with a leg kick. Means looks for a flying knee but nothing though he lands a left hand. Magny is working with his movement and it is frustrating Means. Means with an upelbow and a left hand. Means with a head kick. Magny with a body kick. Means with a body kick. Means with a leg kick. Good feints from Magny. Means misses a head kick and Magny misses a right hand. They trade short punches and Magny lands a big right hand. Means lands a left hand. Magny with a body kick but Means grabs the leg and they go to the ground as the crowd boos. Means is in side control and starts landing some punches as they roll to the fence. Knee to the body from Means. Means may have landed an illegal knee as Magny escapes to his feet and grabs the body lock. They break. Magny misses a right hand. Means with a side kick. They trade punches and Means just misses a left hand as Magny drops down and scores the takedown. Means gets to his feet but Magny lands right hands. Magny with the body lock against the fence. Means defends a takedown attempt. Magny with a knee to the body. They break. Means with a right hand and the round ends. Close round. 10-9 Means, 19-19.

ROUND 3- Magny comes out with a leg kick. Means with a leg kick and Magny falls for a moment. They then trade kicks. Magny lands a right hand and then a Superman punch. Magny with a body punch. They trade punches and Magny telegraphs a takedown attempt. Means with a big knee that drops Magny and Means is opening up with his punches but Magny escapes and survives. Magny grabs the single leg and looks for the takedown. Means grabs the neck and Magny is forced down to the ground and Means is in side control. Magny slides out to his feet and grabs the body lock. Magny working hard for the takedown but it is defended well. Magny with some knees as Means lands some slaps to Magny’s ears. The crowd boos again. Magny with a takedown from the body lock. Means spins to his knees and gives up his back but gets to his feet. Magny has the back of Means. Means switches out and tries with foot stomps. Magny gets a takedown and takes the back and lands punches. Magny tries a choke and looks to get the hooks in. He can’t quite get it in but has the back and is landing punches from back control. Means is fighting him off. Means spins out and Magny ends up in half-guard. Magny with some elbows to the body. Means escapes and Magny gets up and lands a punch as the fight closes out with a Means takedown. Close fight all around. 10-9 Magny, 29-28 Magny.

ROUND 1- We move to a lightweight bout that has plenty of potential to be the best fight of the night. Koch and Cruickshank are both looking for their second straight win. Gary Copeland will oversee this bout. Koch is the betting favorite. They trade punches to start off. Koch just misses a left hand. Koch with a leg kick and Cruickshank lands a back kick to the body. Koch lands a left hand. Koch with a head kick. Cruickshank with a body kick. Koch just misses a left hand. They trade leg kicks. Cruickshank with a body kick. Cruickshank just misses a right hand. Koch with an inside leg kick. Koch just misses another leg kick. Cruickshank with a body kick. They trade punches. Cruickshank misses a spin kick. Koch with a leg kick. Cruickshank drops Koch with a head kick and Cruickshank with some big ground-and-pound. Koch is eating a lot of punches and was out several times and this is finally stopped. Way late on the stoppage as Koch ate an unnecessary amount of punches but Cruickshank still gets the TKO win, his fifth win inside the Octagon.

Keith Peterson is the referee. Larkin is the betting favorite. They trade big punches to start the fight off. Philippou lands a left hook that stuns Larkin after a right hand. Leg kick from Philippou. They clinch but break. Larkin with a leg kick. They trade leg kicks and Larkin’s landed big. They clinch and Larkin with some knees in the clinch. Philippou with knees to the legs and then some foot stomps. Philippou is grabbing the fence. They break. Philippou with the double jab. They trade and Larkin lands a big uppercut. Larkin with a body kick. Larkin with a leg kick. Superman punch by Larkin. Philippou with a leg kick. Larkin misses a left hook. Larkin with a right hand. Larkin with a leg kick but Philippou lands a big right hand. Big combo from Larkin but Philippou comes back with a big right hand. They clinch against the fence. Philippou with knees to the legs of Larkin. They break and Larkin lands an elbow. Philippou with a leg kick and then drops Larkin with a left hook and a right hand combo and this is over! Keith Peterson stops the fight and Larkin is knocked out by Philippou as he ends his losing streak.

ROUND 1- It is now time for the five-round welterweight main event. Brown is on a nice six-fight win streak and looking for a title shot. Silva got back into the win column in his last fight and is looking to remain above .500 in the UFC. Herb Dean is the third man in the main event. Surprisingly, Silva is the betting favorite. Silva with a side kick to start. Brown goes for a head kick and they clinch against the fence. Silva gets the takedown but Brown reverses and they get to their feet. Silva with a body kick and then an uppercut. Silva with a body kick and down goes Brown and Silva lands a ton of punches but Brown somehow survives. Silva grabs the back and looks for the rear-naked choke. Brown was lucky to survive. Silva still has the back and Brown is trying to roll out. Silva has a neck crank and trying to get the choke locked in but Brown is surviving. Silva looking for a transition but bails on it. Brown escapes and they get to their feet. Brown with an elbow and he stuns Silva. Brown with some big punches and knees to Silva. Brown looking to finish as the crowd goes wild. Silva on wobbly legs. Brown pouring it on with elbows in the clinch. Brown just misses a head kick. Silva with a head kick. Brown trips Silva and then lands a knee to the body. Silva up and eats a knee and elbows from Brown. Brown throws him back down and is landing punches. Silva back up but Brown with more elbows. Silva returns fire and lands a body kick. Brown with some more big punches but Silva is eating them. Brown with a takedown at the end of the round. Insane round. The best round of the year. Absolute craziness. 10-9 Brown.

ROUND 2- Lets see if they can top that. Brown with a right hand and then a knee to Silva. Brown with more punches and Silva is firing back. Silva with a body kick and then a spin kick. Brown with a right hand and then a leg kick. Brown with knees to the body and more elbows as they clinch against the fence. Brown with body punches and lands one to the liver. Silva with a right hand. Brown with huge knees to the head and body of Silva. They break. Brown with a head kick and then a right hand and an uppercut. Silva misses a left hand and then eats some punches and elbows from Brown. Big left hands from Brown. Silva with a body kick. Brown with a big combo. Silva then hurts Brown with a body punch and they tie up against the fence. Takedown by Brown and he lands punches in side control. Brown traps Silva’s head and continues to deliver a ton of punches from the top. Silva pops his head out. Brown looking for a D’arce choke and he moves to mount. Big ground-and-pound from Brown. Silva is somehow surviving all of this. Brown moves for an armbar but Silva escapes and Brown goes for a triangle. Silva pops out. Silva on top but Brown looking to escape. Brown with an elbow from the bottom. This round is going to end. 10-9 Brown, 20-18 Brown.

ROUND 3- Brown is up on our scorecard in this amazing fight. Silva with a left hand. Brown with a body kick. Brown with a left hook and then a right hand and more knees and elbows in the clinch. Big body shots from Brown to Silva. Spinning back fist from Brown. Brown gets a takedown and is in the guard of Silva. Brown with more big right hands from the top on Silva. Pace slowing down a little. Big elbows from Brown and Silva is cut open big. Brown postures up and more big punches from the top. Herb Dean warning Silva to fight back. And it is over! Matt Brown with the TKO win in an amazing fight. They will get the bonus checks tonight.
