Phantom of the Paradise Erupts On Blu-ray In August

When Paul Williams stood on the Grammy’s stage accepting Daft Punk’s award for Album of the Year, he didn’t look out of place. Why? Because this wasn’t his first time hanging out with a musician in a robot mask. Phantom of the Paradise had prepared him for such a moment. The rock musical was a glory moment in Williams’ diverse career. He wrote fine music and gave an amazing performance as a rock and roll manipulator.
