Full Trailer For David Ayer’s WWII Tank Drama Fury

Media, News, Trailers

When news first speculated that David Ayer would be doing a WWII drama set in the confines of a tank, there was some aprehension. This is the same David Ayer that wrote Training Day starring Denzel Washington as well as wrote and directed the cop drama End of Watch. After a stumble with Sabotage earlier this year, Ayer looks to rebound with Columbia Pictures and the film Fury.

With Brad Pitt as the headlining star, and the kick-ass name “Wardaddy” to boot, Fury shows some potential. Pitt is joined by Shia LaBeouf, who is noticeably hidden throughout most of the trailer, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal (of Walking Dead fame), Xavier Samuel and Michael Peña. The story follows a tank platoon in Europe with a few months remaining of the Second World War.

As the Allies make their final push, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to combat the German forces on their own soil. Columbia Pictures will release Fury in theaters on November 14th, 2014.
