Today on Twitter, Ellen Degeneres confirmed that her wife will be joining Shonda Rhimes and company on Scandal.
It is expected that Portia de Rossi will be featured in multiple episodes on Scandal‘s fourth season although her exact role has not been confirmed.
In other news, with Harrison leaving the show, the producers are reportedly casting a new African-American lawyer in his 30s to 50s but this news is to be taken with a grain of salt. If the right actor is found, the character will be written in but this new role will not be a recast for Harrison.
Scandal returns to ABC on September 25.
