Arrow Season 3 Spoilers: Major Details Revealed On Roy’s New Role, Diggle’s Baby, New ‘Team Arrow’ Member

If you can’t wait for the new season of Arrow to begin, we have some juicy new spoilers that will help.

In a recent interview with TVLine, the show’s executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed some major plot points for the show’s third season.

On Roy
Guggenheim said that one of the areas where Arrow missed the mark last year (pun intended) was the way they handled Roy’s incorporation into Team Arrow as it seemed to stutter with Roy being infected with Mirakuru. “This year you really feel like he is a part of Team Arrow, in a very integral way,” Guggenheim said. That includes giving him his own uniform as well as “exploring the repercussions” of his Mirakru’d rampage. “He went through this major trauma, and we always said that was necessary for him to become a hero,” the executive producer told TVLine. “But this is the year we get to play with all of that.”

On Diggle’s Child
Diggle will have an integral role on the show’s new season with it being revealed that Lyla is pregnant. Episode 3 of the new season will be Diggle-centric.

On Laurel Joining Team Arrow
Will Laurel now knowing that Oliver Queen is the man under the hood, she can finally be part of the action in the cave. “There’s a great scene between her and Felicity in Episode 3 that we never could do in the last two seasons. And she now can interact with Diggle in a separate way,” Guggenheim said. “It’s fun to see these colors mixing together that you’ve never seen before.”

On Thea
When we last saw Thea, she was climbing into the limo of her recently-revealed dad, Malcolm Merlyn. “At some point this season, we’re going to flash back to the end of [that finale], stay in the limo for their conversation and see what Malcolm said to her — and what she said to Malcolm,” said Guggenheim.
