The CW Pushes Up America’s Next Top Model Season Premiere In Light Of Poor Performance By New Comedies

News

Tyra Banks fans rejoice! The CW has decided to push up the premiere date for Cycle 21 of America’s Next Top Model.

The reality series was originally scheduled to kick off on Friday August 22, but will now premiere on Monday August 18 at 9 p.m. It’s a big promotion for the series to move from Fridays to Mondays, and it appears the reason for the switch are the lack of numbers drawn by a couple of the network’s new comedies. Last Monday, Seed pulled in 490,000 while Backpackers attracted only 419,000.

America’s Next Top Model will feature male and female contestants for the second time and will stay on Mondays until it shifts back to Fridays on October 3.
